Waddell, Jason (ASCAP)

Jason Waddell (b. 1977) currently resides in Decatur, IL where he works as a Director of Bands in the public schools and as Adjunct music faculty for Richland Community College. Besides DMA coursework at Boston University, he also holds his Master's Degree in Music Composition/Music Theory from Illinois State University. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Millikin University.

Mr. Waddell has served as a guest composer and conductor for several middle school, high school, community theater, and college ensembles. He has had the opportunity through grants and commissions to compose, conduct, and work with jazz and rock bands, orchestras, concert bands, and choral ensembles.

He has experienced all styles of music through the roles of conductor, educator, adjudicator, composer, arranger, performer, engineer, and producer. In the last 15 years, he has produced a light rock album and several jingles for advertising. He continues to live a life full of music and enjoyment with his wife and two children.
