This is a short, fun little piece for solo piano which takes the sudden, quick movements of dancing fireflies as its inspiration. The music is designed to keep you on your toes, shifting between time signatures and asking the pianist to pay careful attention to dynamics and articulation markings. There’s lots of energy in this composition and it works well both as a performance piece or as a technical study.
