Utopia was the republic that Thomas More imagined perfect, and that Alphonse de Lamartine profiled as premature truths. Arcadia, for the Greeks was the country of the god Pan, Virgil would transform it into the idyllic paradise of shepherds and poets, and for the Arcadianism of Jean-Jacques Rousseau, it would be the bucolic habitat of the good savage, the dream of simplicity in harmony with nature. Perfection is the fundamental attribute of every deity, showing the way to mortals, so the longing to be god is human.
1,2,1,2,2,2,2 is the mode that sustains the whole work and the ancestral sonorities of the composer echo in it, where utopias flourish.
